I've never understood why it is almost everyone feels the need to park in the parking spot closest to the store. Have we become that lazy where we have to fight with someone else to get a parking spot 2 spots up from where there's another available? Just curious. Someone told me once if you just park closer to the back of the parking lot you end up walking 50 more miles a year than if you park up close. I don't know if that's true or not, but it sounds good to me. So for years I've just parked closer to the back so I walk further, get a little more exercise, and get to laugh at all the dummies fighting for the closest spot available. Just a thought after seeing people fight over a parking spot today. :)
Hmm... what's new here. Adam is coming home between July 10-30! Yay! It makes me happy he will be here for the last few months of being pregnant and so he can feel this ninja of a baby in me kicking and moving. It's the funniest thing feeling the baby using my bladder as a trampoline. Haha! Seriously though. I will go to the bathroom and not even 5 minutes later have to go again. It doesn't help that I've been drinking 100oz of water a day so I don't have to go to the hospital EVER again for dehydration, but I figure a few (dozen) extra bathroom runs aren't that bad if it means not getting dehydrated. :)
Well that's it folks. :)

Good news
So I got some surprising and good news tonight! I was hanging out with my good friends the Luellen's and Wilson's when I get a call from Adam. I had just talked to him a couple hours earlier before he went to work and was surprised he called me while at work. He said he's most likely coming home from Iraq early!! Yay! Since they are drawing the troops back in Iraq, a lot of guys in his unit are being sent home between June-August!! That would be so amazing if he could come home early so he can be here with me pregnant. I've been sad because he can't be here to feel the baby kick or anything, so it would be so great to have him here the last few months when he can really feel the baby moving. :) Woo hoo! :) He does want to stay until at least July so he can have his 180 days deployed because there's way more benefits (like education being paid for, being a vet, etc), but that's only like a month and a half away! A lot more do-able than 7-8 months away. I've been trying not to get my hopes up because things change really fast in the Army, but it's looking pretty certain- and I guess it's too late to not get my hopes up! :)
Anyways my sweet little gal has been moving all over the place- she's definitely a mover. She likes to get extremely active right after I eat for some reason. That's usually when I'm ready to take a nap, but she gets really energetic. :) The food must energize her. :)

Ultrasound today!!!
Ahh! Today I find out what gender my baby is!! Woo hoo! Only 3 more hours to go and I am going crazy because it's SO close, yet SO far away! hahaha!
In other news- Adam is on his way back to Iraq from Germany. Sadly the fun had to end. :) Even though he went there for surgery, he also got a little spoiled (deservingly :) ) and had a lot of fun with his new friends touring and not working 12 hour shifts everyday. I can't remember if I said what the results were from his biopsy, but it was an adverse reaction to the smallpox vaccine that caused a blockage in his lymph nodes, but all is well now. :)
I will make sure to update later with the gender of my sweet baby! =D

A new friend Adam met in Germany who also happened to be LDS.
Adam had a reaction to the smallpox vaccine which clogged his lymph nodes and caused him to get a big lump. The doctors were concerned that it could be cancerous, so they sent him to Germany to have a biopsy done. It wasn't cancerous, but they did surgery to remove the lump and a couple of his lymph nodes that were swollen. He should only be in Germany a few more days. Even though he went there for surgery, he's been a little spoiled by getting to tour around and not having to work 12 hour shifts everyday. ;) It's a well deserved break for him especially since he's such a hard worker. I just wish we could have been spoiled enough for him to come home. ;) I was looking into going to see him in Germany, however tickets were $1500!! Yikes! Although I wouldn't put a price on seeing him, we just decided it would be better to not spend the money, especially since he's pretty much locked down, except to get day passes here and there to go on tours, plus I would have had to find a place to stay. I'm happy he's been able to relax and revamp since he'll be heading back to Iraq soon. :)

Following the crowd
I just realized almost all my friends have blogs, so I thought I might as well get with the program and create one.
Update on mine and Adam's life recently-
I'm 19 weeks pregnant!! We find out in less than a week what gender we're having. We both think we're having a girl, but at the same time I would really love a boy. Either way, we'll be happy. It's been a really hard pregnancy. I've been really sick and had to go to the doctors/hospital 3 times to be given IV's because I was so dehydrated. I was at the point where I would throw up anywhere from 3-6 times a day (sometimes more) and couldn't keep anything down. I dropped 10 pounds my first trimester and still haven't even gotten up to my starting weight. Now I only throw up 3-5 times a week IF I take my anti-nausea medicine, so I always make sure to take it. :) I feel the baby kick more and more everyday. The kicking even woke me up when I fell asleep one day! Haha! I'm just waiting for the day when I can't sleep at night because it's kicking me in the ribs. ;)
Adam my sweet hubby mobilized to go to Iraq Jan 10 for Iraq. We were blessed enough he mobilized from Ft. Lewis, which is only 5 minutes from our house, so I was able to see him sometimes, although he wasn't allowed to leave base except to come to church on Sunday. We spent a lot of time at the MWR and PX. He left officially for Iraq the first day of March. His orders are for 400 days, so that would put him home in March of 2011, although we are crossing our fingers that he will be able to come home before Christmas. Adam got his R&R for Oct 5th-Oct 20 since the baby is due Oct 10, so he can hopefully be home for the baby's birth. Honestly it's one of my biggest fears that he won't be able to be there. It's hard enough not having him here for the entire pregnancy, let alone the birth. I know it's hard for him too especially not being able to come to the doctors appointments and ultrasounds. I try to keep him in the loop as much as I can by recording the heart beat and sending it to him, and sending him week to week updates of the baby's growth. Ahh! I miss him so much! I just want him to come home. Everyone told me the first two week of him being gone would be the hardest, but it just seems to get harder and harder everyday.
Anyway, I guess I am just blabbing now. It's kinda nice being able to get my feelings out. :)
